OK. 3" on the ground? Not such a big deal.

Snow bucketing down. Rare but not unheard of.

-7C overnight? Very cold for Vancouver, but not a record.

But below zero for over a week, sheets of ice on the roads and sidewalks, and our fountain not only frozen over, but snowed under. At sea level.

Hopefully this kills off the pine beetle.
